TANZANIA PEABERRRY – This is a rare peaberry coffee from Tanzania with a delicious and unique flavor profile that is preferred by many coffee aficionados. The Mbya region consists of roughly 400,000 smallholder farmers that own, on average 500 trees each. Many practice subsistence farming methods and all their coffee is handpicked. Tweega coffee comes from the washing stations in the Southern Highlands from the cooperative Tembo Coffee Company. It is sun dried, graded, and sorted at Tembo’s facility in Mbya. The coffee plant varietals are Bourbon and Typica. The taste notes are described as bing cherry, ginger, lime, and fruit coctail. 1) ROASTING COFFEE to perfection is truly an art, a distinct set of skills developed over time with experience. The most basic description of the roasting process would be that the beans need to be heated to around 400*F in about 7-12 minutes and then cooled quickly. As heat is applied the beans will change in color from green to yellow, to ever darkening shades of brown, once the roast level desired is achieved beans are cooled quickly. 2) ABOUT US – We are award-winning family operated coffee supplier.
